C. Amanda Maud works in the UK and the US as an actress, choreographer, director and teacher.  She has been with New Perspectives since 1995 and has appeared in Romeo & Juliet (Friar Laurence), Macbeth (Lady Macbeth), Othello (Emilia), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania/Hippolyta), A Shakespeare Vaudeville, Shakespeare’s Leading Ladies, Shakespeare’s Villains and the Outdoor Shakespeare Faire which she also helped to develop and choreohraphed from 1998 to 2002. In 2004 she directed the first modern performance of The Blind Beggar of Bethnal Green for The St. John on Bethnal Green Festival in Lodnon and also choreographed Blood Wedding for the Wivenhoe Youth Theatre.  Recent acting work in the UK includes creating the lead role of Daniela in The Belle of Bonavista Bay for Forest Forge Theatre, the UK premiere of The Evidence at New Perspectives Theatre Company/UK (no connection), Taking a Liberty(UK premiere) at The Contact Theatre in Manchester, Macbeth at the Chester Gateway, Midas at Shakespeare’s Globe Education Centre, appearing with The Natural Theatre Company at the Millenium Dome and new works at the Soho Theatre studio, the Chelsea Centre and the Albany Theatre.  Other roles:  Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), The Nurse (Blood Wedding), Olivia (Twelfth Night), Atossa/Xerxes (The Persians), Luciana (Comedy of Errors), Hermia (Midsummer), Agnes (Agnes of God), and Cecile (Les Liaisons Dangereuses).
