RAY A. RODRIGUEZ has been a core teaching artist with NPT since 1999, and has performed in numerous World Voices and Shakespeare Made Simple productions. He is a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors currently teaching staged combat and movement classes at Adelphi University in Long Island, NY. He has also taught at Harlem School of the Arts, New York University and Muhlenberg College, and has conducted guest workshops at Teaneck High School in NJ.

He is the resident fight director for NPT and the Inwood Shakespeare Festival where he has choreographed numerous productions of Shakespeare and other classics. He was also Fight Director for NPT's U.S. Premiere production of Ricardo Monti's Visit, and created the fights for The Legend of Deirdre: A Celtic Tale in the World Voices Program.

Some acting credits include: Petrucchio in the OOBR-winning Taming of the Shrew and Rodrigo (Othello) for NPT mainstage; Mercutio (Romeo & Juliet), Banquo (Macbeth), Richard III (Shakespeare's Villains), and a variety of funny guys (Shakespeare's Fools; Motley, Mad & Marriage-Minded: A Shakespeare Vaudeville) for NPT's Shakespeare Made Simple program; Prince (Much Ado About Nothing), Porthos (Three Muskateers), Macduff (Macbeth), Long John Silver (Treasure Island) at Inwood Shakespeare Festival; Caliban La Tempestad with Resonance Ensemble on Theatre Row and most recently Jack Pinchwife in The Country Wife.
