Calvin Ahnwith Christiane Amorosia, Jed Dickson*, Andrew Platner, Joanie Schumacher*, Tony Neil*, Anne Winkles* Stage Manager Rosela Moseng Assistant Stage Manager Natasha Thomas Platinum Travel Club is an erotic-thriller that explores one woman’s road from childhood loss to adult obsession. The abduction of her beautiful teenage sister (Caroline) leaves Sandie to survive a shattered family shrouded in deceit and denial. Despite this tragedy, she doesn’t let anything get in the way of building a successful career – neither a neglectful mother nor a dominating father. Switching between past and present, the story unfolds against a backdrop of Sandie’s involvement in a business travelers’ sex club as she confronts the ghosts from her damaged childhood. FRANCA MIRAGLIA (Playwright) has been in residence with NPT’s Women's Work Project since early 2004. The original version of Platinum Travel Club was produced in 2004 in Toronto at Theatre Passe Muraille and was a finalist in the 2004 Reva Shiner Contest, where it had a workshop production in 2003 by the Bloomington Playwrights Project as part of its Dark Alley Late Night Series. Ms. Miraglia had her NYC debut in 2002 with the production of Life on a Diet by the Looking Glass Theatre. The play had previously been performed to sell-out crowds at the Toronto Fringe Festival '98. Ms. Miraglia is currently enrolled in York University Theatre Department’s MFA program for playwriting. To date, she has written seven full-length plays and is a member of the Canadian Playwrights Guild. She lives in Toronto where she works as the Associate Director & SVP for Ketchum Public Relations Canada. ANNE BEAUMONT (Director) has worked extensively in New York since 1994. Her directing credits include Richard III, King John, The False Servant by Marivaux, The Brothers Menaechmus by Plautus, and an all-female cast of As You Like It, which was selected as one of the “10 Best Plays of 1995” by Back Stage Magazine. Her adaptation and mise-en-scene in Paris of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [abridged], under the title Shakespeare, Le Défi, opened in October 2001 and played to sold-out houses through June 2004 and at the Festival of Avignon over the past two years. Ms. Beaumont joined NPT as Director of the Women’s Work Project in the fall of 2004, and has guided the development of Platinum Travel Club for the past year. She holds an M.B.A. in Arts Management from York University and is a graduate of Ecole de Commerce Superieure de Lyon. She studied directing with Katharine Sergava, a one time student of Michael Chekhov, and with world renowned director Andrei Serban.
