WOMEN'S WORK IS BLOOMING IN MAY!
We are deligted to announce our May Mini Fest of readings from the Women's Work
FLL members are all alumna of the Short Play LAB, who present a proposal for a new work after the Short Play Festival. Membership is ongoing; writers take time off or join later, and although there is no production schedule deadline, we still maintain our goal to bring scripts to "production quality".
To this end, each Spring we offer public presentations of the work at various stages. In addition to complete drafts, we showcase excerpts of promising scripts and hope that audience members will fall in love (as we do) with these plays-in-progress.
Categories for presentation are:
BITS & PIECES: Scenes and/or excerpts from new works-in-progress
FIRST LOOK: A Complete Draft of a work-in-progress
UP AND COMING: A script that has benefitted from our development process but not "finished"
READY FOR PRIMETIME: A finished play, ready for production
FROM THE ARCHIVES: Scripts previously developed in the LAB, some of which we have produced
ADMISSION IS BY DONATION ($10 suggested)
We are using the talents of 28 actors in the festival, and need support for their stipends!
Please consider making a donation, even if you cannot attend.
To make a reservation and a cash donation at the door, R.S.V.P. email@example.com(indicate date/time of presentation, and number attending)
